DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN,J.
and C.KUMARAPPAN,J.
There is no representation for the petitioner. The present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed to produce the body or person of the petitioner's father, namely, P.Amaresan, who was an ex-service man and after his retirement, was working as a Security Personnel in a private college at Thanjavur.
2. A complaint was lodged by the son of the missing person on 10.03.2021, alleging that the said Amaresan is missing since 2006, i.e., about 16 years after his missing. Based on the said complaint, the respondent Police registered C.S.R.No.100/2021 and later, registered F.I.R in Crime No.689 of 2023.
3. The very nature of the complaint lodged after 16 years of missing per se clearly indicates that for some other purpose, the complaint has been lodged and the Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed. Hence, this Court
finds no merit in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed. The dismissal of the Habeas Corpus Petition shall not stand in the way of the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.689 of 2023 and reach logical end by filing a final report.
