PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the 3rd respondent to provide adequate protection to the petitioner and her husband on the basis of the petitioner's representation 16.09.2023 in accordance 1/5

with law within the stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner :Mr.R.Alagumani For Respondent :Mr.M.Vaikkam Karunanithi Government Advocate (crl.side) O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the 3rd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2023, in accordance with law within the stipulated by this Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and her husband performed intercaste marriage. There is a life threat for the petitioner and her husband at the hands of their parents. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent police, seeking police protection, dated 16.09.2023. They are now residing at Pudukkottai District. Today the petitioner is present before this Court in person.

3.Even though representation has been made by the petitioner seeking police protection on the ground that intercaste marriage, the learned Additional 2/5

Public Prosecutor would submit that in the address given by the petitioner, enquiry was made. Certificate from Village Administrative Officer have been obtained stating that this petitioner is not living in the above said address. 4.Let the petitioner file proper representation by mentioning proper address before the respondent. Then the respondent police can entertain the petition. 5.With the above said liberty, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
