ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/ Accused was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 24.03.2022 for the offences under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b),(ii)(C) and 25 of NDPS Act in Crime No.3 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 23.03.2022, based on the secret 1/3

information, the police team went to the place of occurrence and intercepted a car which was occupied by the petitioner and another. On search, the respondent found 22 Kgs of Ganja. Based upon the incident, further process was undertaken and the case was registered.

3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent, he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that final report was filed before the learned Special Judge for NDPS Act cases, Pudukkottai, in C.C.No.221 of 2022.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances and also the fact that final report has been filed, a direction is issued to the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. sd/- 03/10/2023 / TRUE COPY / /10/2023 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S. ) Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai - 625 023.
