This writ petitioner filed this Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to conclude the investigation by considering petitioner representations dated 31.05.2023 within the stipulated time.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

3.Heard both sides.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a complaint dated 31.05.2023 has been sent, for the past five months, no action has been taken by the respondents herein.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of the merger of Anti Land Grabbing Cell, the delay has occurred. The complaint will be enquired on its own merits, by the second respondent, who is the competent authority. 2/4

6. On the basis of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is allowed, directing the second respondent to conclude the investigation as early as possible.
