[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.,] (1)This writ petition has been filed by the husband of the detenue,Yamuna, aged 36 years, to cause production of his wife, who is said to be missing, before this Court and to set her at liberty.
(2)Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
(3)The The petitioner is the husband of the detenue. He got married with the detenue on 22.09.2007 and gave birth to a son. Earlier, the detenue used to leave the matrimonial home very often. So far, she had left the matrimonial home for more than five occasions and thereafter, the detenue returned to the matrimonial home. While so, on 16.07.2025, there was a quarrel between the spouses and as such, the detenue left the matrimonial home. Immediately, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent police and the same has been registered in Crime No.
473/2025 under ''woman missing''. During investigation, the 3rd respondent found that the detenue left the matrimonial home due to misunderstanding between the petitioner and his wife, detenue herein. The 3rd respondent also filed a Status Report before this Court. (4)In view of the above facts and circumstances, the 3rd respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.473/2025 and file the Final Report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
