COMMON ORDER In these writ petitions, the petitioners have prayed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of their respective representations dated 05.08.2025 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioners claim that they were running shops at the old bus stand in Melur Town, falling within the jurisidiction of the Melur Municipality, Madurai District. It is submitted that, in connection with the proposal for constructing a new bus stand, the petitioners were asked to vacate their premises, with a promise that they would be given preference in the new 8/11

complex to be constructed at the old bus stand. 3.It is submitted that the petitioners were given temporary accommodation near the bus stand in the premises of Arulmigu Kalayana Sundareswarar Temple, Melur. It is submitted that after new shopping complex have been put up, the respondents have not accommodated them or held any auctions. It is submitted that the petitioners are without livelihood and therefore, they may be suitably accommodated by the respondents in any other place. 4.The learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent submits that the petitioners' respective representations dated 05.08.2025 will be considered and disposed of on merits within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Recording the same, the writ petitions stand disposed of by directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners' respective representations, dated 05.08.2025, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
