This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr. P.C., praying this Court to direct the Inspector of Police CBCID, Tuticorin, Tuticorin District to complete the Investigation in Crime No.11 of 2012 on the file of the Inspector of Police, CBCID Police in South Police Station, Tuticorin, Tuticorin District within a specific period and lay a final report in the above case. ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. M.Sakthi Kumar, Government Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. KA. Ramakrishnan, Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

This petition has been filed seeking extension of time for a further period of two months to complete the investigation and to file the final report as per the directions given by this Court by its Order dated 09.06.2023 in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.10030 of 2023.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that now investigation has been completed. Sanction to prosecute the accused has also been obtained. Now it is pending for finalization of the official proceedings. After completing the formalities, the final report will be filed within a short period.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the time already granted by this Court to file the final report vide order 09.06.2023 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.10030 of 2023 is extended for a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
