O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to provide electricity connection to the petitioner for the land comprising in Survey No.156/4, having an extent of 18 1⁄2 cents, situated at Mathakarai Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. On instructions, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that, if an online application is submitted by the petitioner seeking for electricity service connection for the land referred to supra, the same will be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2/5

4. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh online application to the fourth respondent seeking for providing electricity connection for his land comprising in Survey No.156/4, having an extent of 18 1⁄2 cents, situated at Mathakarai Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said application, the fourth respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law and if found eligible, provide electricity service connection to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
