PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct appropriate enquiry on merits and 1/5

in accordance with law upon petitioner's application dated 26.03.2024 and to issue separate patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of an extent of 2400 sq.ft comprised in Survey No. 141/10 of Kumaramangalam Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, within a period to be fixed by this Court.

The petitioner with a grievance that his application dated 26.03.2024 for change of patta has not been considered by the respondents, has approached this Court.

2.Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submits that the application of this petitioner is under consideration. They have called for a report from the Village Administrative officer and on receipt of the same and after conducting an enquiry, suitable orders would passed within a reasonable period.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the enquiry and pass suitable orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
