ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to appoint a competent police officer working under the respondent No.3 to investigate the case in Crime No.147 of 2016 registered on the file of the respondent No.7, and to file final report before the competent Court of law in accordance with law.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on instructions would submit that the case has been investigated by the seventh respondent and the final report has already been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Srivaikundam, in C.C.No.268 of 2016 and so far the same has not been taken on file and hence, at this stage transfer of investigation would not serve any purpose. 3.In the result, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law.
