ORDER

The petitioner approaches this Court for conduct of election in respect of Mohaideen Andavar Big Mosque, situated at Valuthur, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District, within the stipulated time. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.24171 of 2019 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been asking the Wakf Board to conduct election in respect of the said Mosque for the past five years, but, till date, it has not been materialised. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Mr.A.Ajmalkhan, learned Standing Counsel, who has taken notice on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4 undertook on behalf of the Wakf Board that election shall be completed within a period of six months. However, considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, time is restricted to five months. 4.Accordingly, the fourth respondent shall complete the election process on or before 30.04.2020.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
