This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.260 of 2014, pending on the file of the first respondent Police as against the petitioner herein.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the investigation has been completed and charge sheet is ready to be filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.IV, Madurai.

3. In view of the above development, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the First Information Report at this stage. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent Police to file a final report https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.12001 of 2017 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such filing, the concerned Judicial Magistrate is directed to take the final report on file immediately and proceed further, in accordance with law. It is left open to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if so advised. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
