This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 of BNSS, seeking orders, to direct the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR Court) Tirunelveli to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the same day on merits relating to Crime No.315 of 2024 on the file of the second respondent police.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e.,16.10.2024), there is no representation of the petitioner. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner was arrested on 14.10.2024 and as such nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.
