This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to call for the records and quash the proceedings in C.C.No.8 of 2018, on the file of the Additional Chief Magistrate, Madurai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the accused was reported dead and on that basis, the charge as against the petitioner was ordered to be abated by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madurai and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition.
