The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter was referred to the Lok Adalat and it was settled between the parties on 08.12.2018 itself.

2.In view of the above development no useful purpose will be served in keeping the proceedings pending and accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.799 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sathankulam, Thoothukudi District, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
