PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the second and third respondent Police not to harass the petitioners by compelling them to register the sale deed in favour of the fourth and fifth respondents and consequently direct the respondent Police not to interfere in the civil dispute between the petitioners and respondent Nos.4 and 5 without following due process of law. 1/4

For Petitioners : Mr.J.Senthil Kumaraiah For R-1 to R-3 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Criminal Side) O RDER This petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of a complaint given by the fourth respondent.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that respondent Nos.4 and 5 have executed an agreement of sale by receiving money and now with the help of the Police, respondent Nos.4 and 5 wanted the agreement of sale to be cancelled. It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that a civil suit is pending in O.S.No. 251 of 2023 on the file of the learned District Munsif, Karur.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that on a complaint given by respondent No.4, a case has been registered and numbered as Current Paper and enquiry is being initiated and requested time to complete the enquiry.

4. Since the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature, the respondent Police have no role to play in respect of the civil dispute between the petitioners and the fourth respondent.

5.
