This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct kabbadi tournament scheduled to be taken place from 07.10.2023 to 08.10.2023 at common ground situated at opposite to Ullagamman temple, Thatchanallur North Bye pass road, Tirunelveli.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

3.Heard both sides.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the first representation given by the petitioner was rejected by the respondent citing some 5 reasons. The second representation has been made by the petitioner dated 13.09.2023, which has been kept pending.

5. Let the representation of the petitioner be disposed of on merits, since it has been stated that in the second representation seeking permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament, the petitioner has changed the 2/4

place and time. The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner immediately, within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the second respondent rejects the representation of the petitioner, then a copy of the rejection order may be served on the petitioner, so that the petitioner can work out remedy through appropriate proceedings.
