This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to give police protection to the petitioner to construct a compound wall in his land, which is situated in Survey No.1040/7 at Vasudevanallur Village, Sivagiri Circle, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 18.10.2019.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first and second respondents submitted that earlier the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police, the respondent police has conducted enquiry and closed the case is civil in nature and asked the parties to approach the competent civil Court for appropriate relief. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17150 of 2019 protection cannot be considered.

3.Recording the above said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the civil Court for appropriate relief.
