[Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR, J.] Captioned Writ Petition has been filed in this Court on 22.09.2023 with a Mandamus prayer qua a representation dated 01.05.2023 and a scanned reproduction of this representation is as follows:

The aforementioned '01.05.2023 representation', shall hereinafter be referred to as 'said representation' for the sake of convenience and clarity.

2. Issue notice. Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader accepts notice for all five respondents.

3. Learned Government Pleader submits that the request is to provide drinking water once in two days instead of once in eight days and the same has been addressed but it is yet to be addressed, is learned petitioner's counsel say.

4. Be that as it may, as the prayer is for a simple Mandamus qua said representation, we deem it appropriate to refrain ourselves from expressing any opinion on the merits and contestation and further deem it appropriate to say that it will suffice to direct the first respondent to dispose of said representation on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as the official business of the first respondent would permit but in any event, within a period of three (3) weeks from today ie., on or before 27.10.2023.

5. Captioned Writ Petition is disposed of on above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
