J U D G M E N T

[Judgment of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] Challenge in this writ appeal is to the order dated 30.08.2023, passed in W.P.(MD) No.20877 of 2023, by the Writ Court.

2. According to the appellant, he was elected as the President, Semparayanenthal Kanmoi (Tank) Water User's Association. However, based on the complaint, the third respondent Revenue Divisional Officer proceeded to take action against the appellant. In the meanwhile, the 7th respondent filed the Writ Petition to recall the election results and the learned Single Judge, recording the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader, disposed of the Writ Petition by directing the third respondent to consider representation of the 7th respondent / writ petitioner. Challenging the same, the present Writ Appeal has been filed.

3. At the time of hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, by producing the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, in Moo.Mu.Aaa.3/925/2003, dated 27.12.2023, stated that the selection of the appellant as President, Semparayanenthal Kanmoi (Tank) Water User's Association has been cancelled.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Appeal is dismissed as infructuous. If aggrieved, it is open to the appellant to challenge the said proceedings in the

manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected Civil Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
