ORDER

This Petition has been filed by the defacto complainant seeking direction against the second Respondent/Investigation Officer to complete the enquiry in Crime No. 97 of 2022 and file the final report within the time to be specified by this Court.

2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner is having a video footage regarding the vehicle theft but, the Investigation Officer does not intend to take care of the same. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondent/Investigation Officer submitted that the investigation on the complaint given by the Petitioner is in progress and the final report will be filed shortly.

4.The submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is recorded. Considering the grievance expressed by the Petitioner, this Court directs the Petitioner to appear before the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karur with the video footage regarding the vehicle theft. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karur is directed to monitor the investigation carried out by the Investigation Officer in this case. If he is not satisfied with the investigation carried out by the Inspector of Police, Vengamedu Police Station/second respondent herein, he shall report the same to the Superintendent of Police enabling the Superintendent of Police to nominate a competent Investigation Officer to conduct fair investigation in this case further.

5. However, the Investigation Officer is directed to expedite the process of investigation fairly and file the final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as undertaken by him/her.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
