(Thro' VC) This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to quash the case in STC No.55 of 2015 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai.

2.According to the prosecution, on 31.10.2015, the petitioner and other 16 accused unlawfully assembled near the status of Veerapandia Kattapomman, Periyar Bus Stand, Madurai and burning the effigy of Seeman, the leader of Nam Thamizhar Party. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent submitted that petitioner herein was acquitted by the Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai , by judgment, dated 11.11.2019 made in STC No.55 of 2015.

4.Recording the above, this criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
