ORDER

Mr.P.Kannithevan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.The petitioner has applied for altering the name of his father as Narayanan @ Velliah Nadar, who died on 10.09.1991. The same was rejected by the second respondent. Against which, he preferred an appeal to the first respondent on 30.08.2019 and the same is pending till date. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Considering the limited prayer, a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the rejection order passed by the second respondent dated 24.07.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if required, give notice and personal hearing to all the interested parties.
