ORDER

The petitioner/husband has filed this Civil Revision Petition seeking a direction to the Family Court, Madurai, to expedite and dispose of H.M.O.P.No.385 of 2020 pending on its file. 1/4

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a divorce petition in H.M.O.P.No.385 of 2020 before the Family Court, Madurai, on 25.08.2020 and after receiving the summons, the respondent/wife has wantonly not appeared in the Court proceedings. Since she was continuously absent in the subsequent hearings, she was set ex parte and ex parte evidence was taken on 08.04.2022. After knowing the same, she filed an application to set aside the ex parte order only on 10.06.2022, but, she has not come forward to conduct the case. Therefore, the case is pending without any progress. Hence, he seeks for early disposal of H.M.O.P.No.385 of 2020.

3. Though notice was served on the respondent and her name has also been printed in the cause list, there is no representation for the respondent.

4. Considering the fact that the divorce petition is pending from the year 2020, the Family Court, Madurai, is directed to complete the proceedings in H.M.O.P.No.385 of 2020 and dispose of the same, within a period of seven months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
