O R D E R

This case was referred to the Mediation Centre and the parties have entered into a settlement agreement before the Mediation Centre on 21.03.2019. Recording the settlement entered into between the parties, a Mediation report has been placed before this Court.

2. In view of the above development, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the proceedings pending. The parties were also present before this Court and on examination, they informed this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD)No.15125 of 2017 Court that the matter has been amicably settled between themselves. Taking into consideration the fact that the dispute is essentially a matrimonial dispute, this Court is inclined to take note of the settlement between the parties and also the Mediation Report placed before this Court. The proceedings in C.C.No.254 of 2014, on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is hereby quashed.

3. The Family Court, Madurai, is directed to immediately restore H.M.O.P.No.238 of 2017, on file and direct the parties to be present before it on 14.10.2019, and thereafter, the Court shall proceed further to dissolve the marriage on the ground of mutual consent between the parties

4. This Criminal Original Petition is accordingly allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
