O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to sanction the fund and the respondents 2 to 4 to put up a Thar Road in Silarpatti - Gopinaickanpatti Adhi Dravida and Public Crematorium pathway situated at Silarpatti Village, T.Kallupatti Panchayat Union, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, based on his representation dated 18.10.2021.

Heard Mr.M.Saravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Alleging that inspite of repeated representations, no road was laid in the pathway leading to Gopinaickanpatti Adhi Dravida and Public Crematorium for the past 50 years, the petitioner, who is serving as President of Silarpatti Village Panchayat, submitted a representation to the respondents on 18.10.2021 and the same, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, remains as such. Hence, the Writ Petition. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, he would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of his representation dated 18.10.2021, within a time frame.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and disposed of by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner and the submission of the learned 3/6

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.10.2021, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other parties concerned. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
