(Thro' VC) This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to quash the case in C.C No.36 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Nagercoil.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that the case in CC No.36 of 2017 has been transferred from the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Nagercoil to the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Nagercoil and renumbered as CC No.182 of 2018 and on 13.10.2020, the case was disposed of by acquitting the accused persons and hence, the matter has become infructuous. The copy of the judgment, dated 13.10.2020 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Nagercoil is also produced to that effect.

3.Recording the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
