O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.201 of 2023 and file a final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that even though the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.201 of 2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(2) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, on a complaint given by the petitioner, there is no substantial progress in the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the official respondent submits that so far six witnesses were examined and the respondent Police would complete the investigation as quickly as possible.

4. Considering the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondent Police to expedite the investigation 2/4
