ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118, 351(3) of BNS and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, in connection with Crime No.524 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners are said to have sold liquor illegally in the nearby place of the defacto complainant and suspecting that the defacto complainant is an informant to the police and on that motive, on 06.10.2024, the petitioners trespassed into the defacto complainant's house and attacked him by using wooden log and threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent strongly objects for grant of anticipatory bail to these petitioners that the investigation is yet to be completed and the first petitioner is having 13 previous cases to his credit.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) that the investigation is yet to be completed and the first petitioner is having 13 previous cases and the motive of the petitioners in attacking the defacto complainant, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to these petitioners.
