W.P(MD)No.24406 of 2019 COMMON ORDER Since the issues involved in these Writ Petitions are one and the same and therefore, these Writ Petitions are heard together and disposed of by way of this common order.
2.Mr.G.Kasinathadurai, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, these Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The grievance of the petitioners is that for the tentative seniority list of Assistant Engineers, they have given objections on 27.07.2018 and 28.11.2018. The second respondent without considering their objections, is trying to make promotions without finalising the seniority list.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that their objections would be considered and orders will be passed within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The grievance of the petitioners is that even though, they are eligible to be promoted, the second respondent is promoting the juniors and therefore, they have given objections to the tentative seniority list.
5. In view of the contentions of the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners that the promotions of the petitioners are affected, the second respondent is directed to consider the objections of the petitioners dated 27.07.2018 and 28.11.2018 on merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, all the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
