Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, to expedite the trial and dispose the case in C.C.No.719 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate - I, Madurai as time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petition had been filed seeking direction against the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Madurai, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.719 of 2022. The Petitioner is the Defacto Complainant.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in C.C.No.719 of 2022, there are fifteen (15) witnesses.
3. As per the remarks offered by the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Madurai, both the Accused were surrendered before the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Madurai, and the case was adjourned to 09.09.2022 and 25.11.2022 for framing of charges. As per the year wise pendency, there are more than 600 cases pending trial from 1992 onwards.

After consultation with the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor who is attached to the Court of the Judicial Magistrate Court - I, Madurai, and with the Investigation Officer in this case, the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Madurai, is directed to fix the trial, if the charge is already framed. The examination of witnesses shall be completed within a period of fifteen days on a day to day basis and also directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.719 of 2022 within a reasonable period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
