ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner filed W.P(MD)No.10880 of 2022 seeking restoration of water service connection. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the local body submitted that Muthulekshmi while wanting water connection for herself is preventing others from enjoying the water connection from the very same source. I made it clear to the petitioner's counsel that unless the petitioner withdraws her objections, I would not be inclined to take up the matter.

3. The learned counsel on instructions categorically states that Muthulekshmi would stand by the statement already given by her before the local police which has been enclosed at page no.12 of the typed set of papers filed by the respondent. In other words, the petitioner Muthulekshmi will not raise any objection for the local body to provide water service connection to the other residents of the locality through common pathway. The learned counsel would further state that in view 2/4

the stand of the writ petitioner water service connection shall be restored within a week. Recording the said submission, this contempt petition is closed.
