PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 herein to survey the petitioner's lands in S.Nos.5/6A, 5/6C and 9/3B in Villichery Village, Kayathar Taluk, 1/4

Thoothukudi District and consequently direct the third respondent herein to give police protection for survey the lands as per the date fixed by the second respondent.

The petitioner with a grievance that his application for survey of his land has not been considered by the respondents has filed this writ petition.

2.Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that survey would be completed within a period of eight weeks. 3.Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the survey within a period 2/4

of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
