ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to carry out UDR correction in respect of the property situated in Door No.18 in Survey No.1610/44 at Ayyalur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District and further direct the third respondent to issue patta to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 02.07.2025.
2. According to the petitioner, the subject property in Old Survey No.1610 was originally classified as Village Natham and the petitioner occupied a portion of the said property. Later, the subject property was subdivided into sub-division numbers 1610/31, 1610/38, 1610/41 and 1610/44. Though the petitioner is in occupation of the property, it was wrongly registered in the name of Kaliamman Koil and as lane. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner
submitted a representation dated 02.07.2025 before the first respondent, seeking rectification of the errors in the UDR records. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents 1 to 3, would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner, person in-charge of Kaliamman Koil and other interested parties.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 29.08.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Lm
