Learned counsel appearing on either side submitted that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and a settlement agreement was also entered into dated 24.10.2019 before the Mediation Centre. 2. In view of the above development, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings pending and it will also not be in the interest of the parties. That apart, the parties are also agreeable to withdraw all the pending proceedings.

3. In view of the above proceedings in C.C.No.348 of 2016, pending on the file of the Additional Mahilla Court, Maduai is quashed and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is partly allowed. The settlement agreement and Mediation report shall form part of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
