ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent Police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.328 of 2023.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that this case involves examination of more than 100 witnesses and the process is being carried out and if another six months time is granted, investigation will be completed and final report will be filed.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, the respondent Police is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.328 of 2023 before the concerned Court in any event, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
