O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to transfer the investigation in crime No.421 of 2016, pending on the file of the second respondent police.

2. On reading of the complaint, it is seen that, the petitioner was attacked by two accused persons and it caused him grievous injuries. According to the petitioner, the entire incident had been captured in CCTV camera which was available near the place of occurrence. Inspite of the same, there is absolutely no progress in the investigation and the respondent police have identified a juvenile and made him as one of the accused in this case. The respondent police are yet to identify other accused person.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.8727 of 2017 learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent police.

4. Taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances, the investigation in Crime No.421 of 2016 shall be continued by the second respondent under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kovilpatti. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kovilpatti shall ensure that the investigation progresses in a fair manner and the accused persons are brought to book. The investigation shall be completed within a period of four(4) months and a final report shall be filed before the appropriate Court.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
