21.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law forthwith and thereby issue individual or joint patta in relation to the said property bearing Survey No.1541/1 measuring 2.48 hectare equivalent to 6 acre 13 cents situated at Valkadambu, Veppalankulam Village, Rathapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District forthwith to all the petitioners.

The petitioners with a grievance that their application dated 21.12.2022 for issuance of patta for the subject properties has not been considered has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to issue individual or joint patta in favour of the petitioners.

2.Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents submits that the petitioners' application would be considered within a reasonable period.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioners and take a decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
