ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application in gp/,.rp.g.vz;.m4/217/2021 seeking issuance of death certificate of petitioner's grandfather, namely, Arumuga Kudumban, who died on 20.02.1938, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard both sides. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he gave application to the respondent to register the death of his grandfather, namely, Arumuga Kudumban, who died on 20.02.1938, however, no steps have been taken so far. Hence, seeks direction of this Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application in gp/,.rp.g.vz;.m4/217/2021 and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
