ORDER

The Revision Case is directed against the order dated 05.10.2010 passed in Special S.C.No. 11 of 2009 on the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Theni.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 16.02.2021, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has filed a memo along with death certificate of the petitioner and it is represented that the father's name of the petitioner is shown as Kuppusamy in the death certificate, whereas in the revision memorandum, it has been mentioned as Karuppasamy. Hence, the case was adjourned to 23.02.2021 for verification and report, at request of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side).

3.Today (i.e., 26.02.2021), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has produced the copy of the petitioner's Aathar Card to show that the name of the petitioner's father is Kuppusamy. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL.R.C.(MD).No.212 of 2017 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the father's name of the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned and that his father's name has been shown as Kuppusamy in all other records.

5.It is evident from the death certificate that the petitioner had died on 27.10.2017 and the memo is recorded.

6. In view of the above, the Criminal Revision Case is dismissed as abated.
