PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and third respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2023 and 23.08.2023 and to take preventive measures for curbing violence imminent in the ensuing Temple functions on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of October, 2023 by providing Police Protection to every event listed in the agenda of the Temple Function on all the 3 days of the Temple functions.

This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus directing the respondent police to provide police protection basing on the representation dated 21.08.2023 and 23.08.2023 for conducting Temple Function.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that earlier the petitioner has filed a complaint and the same was registered as CSR No.379 of 2023 and it was closed after giving strict warning to one Prabakaran, who is rival party, but the enquiry in respect of petition dated 23.08.2023 is still pending.

3. Considering the submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the enquiry in the representation as expeditiously as possible keeping in view that the festival is scheduled to be held on 02.10.2023 and 03.10.2023. No costs.
