ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to take appropriate steps in consonance with the Sections 100 to 102 of the Mental Health Care Act, 2017, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 12.09.2024, sent for the purpose of retrieving the mental health of the petitioner's co-sister by name Anuja, aged about 47 years, D/o.Dr.Muthukumarasamy, residing at No.311, Main Road, Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli District, as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulation as prescribed by this Court.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on written instructions, would submit that pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner, the second respondent personally visited the said Anuja. The said Anuja is not suffering from any illness, and she is found to be conscious. She has given a statement that her parents as well as her brother have since passed away, she is not going out often, and she is confined to the house itself most of the time. The condition of the said person is found to be normal. 2/4

3.It is further submitted on behalf of the respondents that they will keep a watch, and if any counselling is necessary, the same will also be provided to the said Anuja.

4. Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
