ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel, who takes notice for respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the Assistant Executive Engineer, Surandai, Tenkasi, to evaluate the Deposit Contribution works in Connection Nos. 200070981024549 and 200070980824469 and process the refund of the excess amount paid in respect of the same within the stipulated time.
3. The petitioner applied for shifting of electricity lines so as to facilitate the use of the property with respect to the above-mentioned connection numbers. He was directed to make two deposits totaling a sum of Rs.40,17,971/-. Accordingly, he made the deposit. However, after commencement of the works, it was computed that the shifting distance was lesser than contemplated, and the works covered approximately less than half of the initial estimate. Hence, after 2/5
completion of the works, on 25.04.2025, he made a representation to the respondents seeking a refund of the excess amount. Since the same has not been considered, he has approached this Court.
4. The learned standing counsel for the respondents would submit that the Superintending Engineer, TNPDCL/TANGEDCO, Tirunelveli, is competent to consider the representation of the petitioner.
5. In view of the above, the Superintending Engineer, TNPDCL/TANGEDCO, Tirunelveli, is suo motu impleaded as the third respondent. The representation dated 25.04.2025 shall be transferred to the third respondent, who shall consider the same and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
