PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 3 to 5 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her mother based upon the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.09.2024.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ramsundar Vijayraj For Respondents : Mr.P.Kottai Chamy, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for R1 to R5.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed, invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking orders, to direct the respondents 3 to 5 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her mother based upon the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.09.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's mother has executed two settlement deeds in favour of the sixth respondent/grandson and subsequently, invoking Tamil Nadu Senior Citizens and Parental Care and Welfare Act, has filed petition before the second respondent/ Revenue Divisional Officer and after enquiry the 2/4

Revenue Divisional Officer has cancelled the settlement deeds and the said order came to be confirmed by the first respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry is pending in current paper.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the fifth respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well as the private respondent and conduct enquiry, by taking note of order passed under Tamil Nadu Senior Citizens and Parental Care and Welfare Act and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
