ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by a Town Planning Inspector working in the Pudukottai Municipality, seeking a mandamus to consider his representation, dated 11.06.2024 and to promote him to the post of Town Planning Officer Grade-II.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his name was included in the panel for the year 2012 for promotion to the post of Town Planning Officer Grade-II. However, due to pendency of charge memo, his name was over looked. Punishment was imposed upon the writ petitioner on 11.12.2012 for stoppage of increments without cumulative effect. According to the petitioner, the punishment period is over and therefore, he is eligible to be promoted in the subsequent panel. However, the same has not been considered. The petitioner has sent a representation on 11.06.2024. Since, there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation dated 11.06.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
