The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the Appeal pending before the first respondent in proceedings No.14893/2018/H1 filed by the petitioner, within a time frame.

Heard Mr.B.Prahalad Ravi, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.S.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice for the second respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner is still pending consideration and the authority has also received a reminder letter from the petitioner. The appeal of the petitioner would be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Considering the scope of the prayer which lies in a narrow compass, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in proceedings No. 14893/2018/H1, if not disposed of earlier and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the parties concerned, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
