ORDER:- These Writ Miscellaneous Petitions coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.Maruthu Pandian, Advocate for the Petitioner in all WMP's and of Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, Additional Government Pleader for R1 and Mr.S.Sivanesan, Standing Counsel second respondent in all WMP'S, and this Court made the following order:

The present Writ Miscellaneous Petitions have been filed, seeking extension of time to comply with the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos.12414 to 12419 of 2024, dated 11.09.2024, whereby the petitioners were directed to pay a sum of Rs.30.00 lakhs in two equal instalments, the first of which amounting to Rs.15.00 lakhs within two weeks from the date of the said order being uploaded and the remaining sum of Rs.15.00 lakhs within a period of two weeks thereafter.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has complied with the order partly by remitting a sum of Rs.15.00 lakhs already and to pay the remaining sum of Rs.15.00 lakhs, the petitioner would request for extension of time by further eight weeks.

3. Learned counsel for the respondents would submit that already extension of time has been granted to the petitioner, to which learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in the process of selling one of their assets to ensure that the order of this Court is complied with.

4. In view of the difficulty expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to extend time by a further period of six weeks from today for payment of the remaining amount of Rs.15.00 lakhs and to comply with the order of this Court, dated 11.09.2024.

5. Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are allowed accordingly.
