: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the relating to the order dated 5.9.2019 in PROC.No.001/SJC/H/2018(247) passed by the Honourable committee, Cooperative Societies Election Cases , South Zone, Madurai and to quash the same and consequently to quash the order passed by the fourth respondent in his proceedings in No.399/ThoKoo/2018, dated 6.8.2018 declaring the election results to the Administrative Board of Madurai District Printers Service, Industrial Cooperative Society Limited(MADPIC)-OP Society) on 7.8.2018.

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM.,J.] Heard Mr.B.Vijay Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General,assisted by Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the Honourable Committee on Co-operative Societies Election Cases, South Zone, Madurai on 5.9.2019. 3.The Writ Petitioner approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition challenging the election of one K.V.K.Kannan as the President of the society on the ground that he is not even a qualified member of the society. The crux of the said contention was tested by the Honourable Election Committee which says that K.V.K.
Kannan was indicted as a member of the society in the year 2012 on the basis that he was a binder. Further, the Honourable Committee noted that in the last election they have elected the said K.V.K.Kannan as President for a continuous period of five years. Further the Honourable Committee noted that the last date for giving objection to the draft voters list was 25.4.2018 between 1000 a.m., to 4.00 p.m and the date for publication of final voters list was 26.4.2018. Admittedly, the Petitioner did not have any objection on the said date, would state that objection given was not considered by the Election Officer. Thus, in our considered view there is no error in the order passed by the Honourable Committee on Co-operative Societies Election Cases, South Zone, Madurai and accordingly, this Writ Petition fails.
4.In the result, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are dismissed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (crl.side) // True Copy // Sub Assistant Registrar(CS ) 2/3
