ORDER:- Criminal Original Petition is coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Ms.P.Krishnaveni, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. A.Robinson Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on behalf of the respondent, this Court made the following order:

The petitioner is in custody since 09.09.2019, for the offences under Section 8(c) r/w. Section 20(b)(ii)(B) r/w. section 22(C) of Narcotic Drug Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985, in Crime No.485 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police. Hence, he seeks bail. 2.The contraband carried by the petitioner weighing 1 kilogram of Ganja was suspected to be a narcotic substance. But then, to confirm the same, it was sent for lab analysis. The lab report appears to have been received by the learned Special Court for E.C. and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) states that the report has not been made available to the prosecution by the Court concerned and therefore, they are not able to make any submission today. Hence, post the matter on 20.12.2019.

CRL OP(MD). No.17013 of 2019 3.In the mean while the learned Special Court for E.C. and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai, is directed to furnish the lab report to the respondent police. The Registrar (Judicial) is directed to inform the learned Special Court for E.C. and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai, about this direction.
