By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 18.12.2023 to direct the 5th respondent to give water connection under AMRUT, ARSAS UGSS Project to the remaining residence existing in S.No. 37/27, S.No. 37/13, situated at Theivakani Street, Iravathanallur, Madurai City.

3. The petitioners are the residents of Theivakani street and though water connections were given to adjacent houses, the petitioners were not provided with any connection. Therefore, the petitioners have sent a representation. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. I have considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited prayer that has been sought for, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the representation of the petitioners dated 18.12.2023 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 24.10.2024 RR TO
